Welcome to Mendon Farm
Mendon Farm was first started in 2017 after my dad and I moved, to a small 2 acre homestead in Mendon Massachusettes. The property was a blank slate as far as farm infostructure went, other then a falling down well house and horse barn. My dad and I built outbuildings and fencing for the livestock, and turned the barn into a workshop for the farm. Now the farm hosts a motley crew of chickens, ducks, goats, and rabits, as well as a 1,000 sqft garden in the back. Plant sales/swaps are held evey Sunday starting April 25th, and ending around the end of June. Farm equipment, tools, and other supplies are also availble for swap/sale at Ye Ole Swap Shop, Mendon Farm's shop. Most of my produce and produccts from the farm are sold at Danils Farmstead in Blackstone MA, which includes unique vegetables and friuits, free range duck and chicken eggs, raw wildflower hooney, and hand craafted cutting boards.
Hystory of the property

The original farm, (Torry Homestead), was founded in 1725 by William Torry, who built the house on site. The original homestead spanned all the way from the center of Mendon, Ma to the center of Upton Ma, and was divided at some point over the years. While I'm still not fully clear on some of the details, I do know at some point during the 1800s it was a dauiry farm, and also served as a chicken farm for a bit. There's not much left of the original homestead other then the house which still stands on 2 acres of the original Torry homestead's land, that has been restored to host a new homestead, Mendon Farm.
